When I added the long copper straps to the ground plane of TEXAS, the field strength went up by at least 1 dB, but not more than 3 dB. this could be due to the fact that my chicken wire is getting really old and rusty. I have both the chicken wire and the long radials strung out on top of the ground... Hi Lyle, I am experiencing a CW carrier near your frequency (186.750 kHz), so I only get the "little houses on the prairie" symbols on my laptop. Do you have the capability to shift frequency? In case Bill Cantrell doesn't see this message; TX (Haslet, TX) is now sending BPSK continuously on 189.700 kHz. The identifier is TX(space) with a run length of 3. Nearly solid copy on both TX and OK this noon in central MN, with no frame grabber. OK and LEK are still sending CW the first half of each hour and BPSK the second half. OK(space) (Davenport, OK) has a run length of 3 and transmits on 189.950 kHz; LEK(space)(space) from Aitkin, MN has a run length of 5 and transmits on 186.750 kHz. BRO(space) in Duluth, MN has a run length of 4 and transmits on 182.250 kHz. Everybody is running MS100, ET1. Those are the only LowFERs that I know for sure are transmitting BPSK at this time.
